Livingston County News | Mount Morris culinary students progress in national NASA competition

Four Culinary Arts students at the Genesee Valley Educational Partnership’s May Center in Mount Morris have made it to the final round of a NASA-sponsored competition to create a breakfast recipe for astronauts aboard the International Space Station. Members of Team Skittles Pandas presented their “Out of This World Egg White Frittata” to a room full of judges at the May Center in February. The recipe was one of 10 chosen from across the country to progress to the final round of the competition.The team is comprised of Nicholas Evangelista from Geneseo, Cloie Whitbeck from Livonia, Michael Hannon from Wayland-Cohocton and Katelynn Herring from Geneseo.The team, which is instructed by Chef Stephen Kingston, will travel to NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX, April 26 for the final round of the competition.The four students competed against 27 other student teams from across the United States.
